The nationally acclaimed Illinois Shakespeare Festival draws approximately 15,000 patrons each summer to view performances under the stars. The Festival produces three plays each summer, and has expanded to include a family green show, music, post-performance discussions, and a touring company.
Pre-performance picnicking on the grounds at Ewing Cultural Center has become a cherished tradition of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Patrons may bring their food or purchase it in the Manor’s courtyard during the season. For a truly unique and elegant evening, educational, nonprofit, and business organizations may rent rooms in Ewing Manor for dining prior to the performance. A gazebo that can seat up to 12 is available for rental by any theatre goer. For further information, contact Ewing Cultural Center at (309) 829-6333.
