The Theatre at Ewing

Completed in June of 2000, the Theatre at Ewing is available for rental to organizations for educational and cultural performances. The theatre is owned and operated by the Illinois State University Foundation, which raised the more than $2 million in private funds required to construct the building. The theatre features architectural detailing that echoes that of Ewing Manor. Built in the Roman theatre tradition, the theatre seats 430 patrons and is fully accessible to persons with disabilities. The Theatre at Ewing is the home of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, which presents three productions each summer to more than 15,000 patrons.
